Greetings to my Gold Level and Silver Level Templar Knights. I’ve just returned from a visit to my beloved Portugal after a three year absence. I made a bee-line for the ancient Templar citadel of Tomar in the centre of the country. And for your enjoyment - I managed to shoot the film below with great access to all the amazing places you can find within the castle walls.

Tomar was one of several Templar fortifications in the middle of Portugal intended to hold the line between Christian Europe and the Muslim caliphate to the south. Built in the dangerous and turbulent 12th century. It saw its fair share of military conflict and bloodshed.

The year 1190 witnessed the arrival of a vast army led by an emir determined to defeat the Templars once and for all. I’ll show you how he was defeated against all the odds. So join me and tell me what you think of this film from the Templar castle at Tomar!
